I am thrilled, honored and humbled after the results from the 2010 Print Competition. This is where the best in the world submit images to be judged. Four prints go into the case, four prints that you have worked on with all your heart, pouring your blood, sweat and tears into. If you're lucky, only three prints will be shipped back home to you because at least one has been chosen for the General Collection.
This was my first year entering the International. I have entered regional competitions before, but this year, I felt I had images worthy of making a nice start towards my Masters' Degree. The results were far beyond my expectations. To make an image that goes into the General Collection is quite an accomplishment. I had two of those this year and one of those was picked to go into the Showcase Collection. The ultimate laurels of competition is to have an image be accepted into the Loan Collection, when I found out that I had received such an honor, it took the air from my lungs. I am so thankful for the teachers and mentors, friends and models who have been such an important part of this journey.
