Way to go Katie

I always say that I have the best job in the world. I do what I love for a living and in the process, I get to make friends with some incredible people. Katie is a senior from Frewsburg Central Class of 2008, and was just crowned New York State Junior Miss. That's very cool. I wish I could take some credit for that accomplishment, but being photogenic had nothing to do with Katie winning. I can say that Katie picked dana nordlund photography to shoot her senior session, and I can say that the brand new Junior Miss is my friend. So way to go Katie, I'm proud of you.

Bump Shot

I love doing these sessions, sometimes they even make me teary eyed.

Of course this couple is very special to me because I've photographed them since they went to the prom about about 4 years ago, her senior portraits and I also did their wedding.

So, I figure that in 18 years, I'll have to schedule a senior session ; )

Seniors in the Snow

I think that I might have to rethink my usual sessions (typically shot in July to October).

This senior asked if we could do some stuff in the snow, I am very glad that we waited (although it was 10 degrees), because the results were astounding.

I told her, "Oh great, now everyone will want to do a winter session" hehehehe.

March Madness on Donkeys

Basketball never really held my attention, until I saw it played on donkeys. Especially when the donkeys seem to have a mind of their own when it comes to playing the game.

I have come to believe that fashion plays a large part in the success of the game.

Technique plays an important role in this game, but comes in second to fashion.
